Accounting Technician Full-time/Non-Exempt/Great Falls Job Duties Reviews accounts payable vendor reports on a regular basis for accuracy.
May perform backup duties Accounts Payable Specialist when needed.
Processes all credit card transactions, including coding, computer input and data processing.
Processes all WEX card transactions and assist with reporting.
Runs reports for a variety of transactions.
Reviews, monitors, and follows up on a variety of reports to ensure accurate/timely posting of transactions generated by AP automation.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications: The tasks related to the processing of claims are procedural and the practices and techniques are all well-established.
The skills required to compute and post figures accurately, to maintain clerical records, and to submit routine reports.
However, most tasks require determinations as to the various types of claims in addition to processing them.
The position is required to determine the adequacy of the information and its conformity to programmatic procedures and policies, then select the appropriate procedure to correctly process the data.
Education & Experience: The above knowledge and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in accounting or higher and previous accounts payable experience is required.
