Responsible for planning, coordinating, organizing, controlling, and the implementation of certain financial functions related to Benefis Health System and its entities.
Research accounting rules and regulations and make recommendations regarding the appropriate treatment of accounting issues.
The position has key responsibilities for the annual audit, annual budget, and required tax filings, and must have operational competency in all three areas.
The position will perform a lead role on projects for which they have operating responsibility and will act as an internal consultant when appropriate.
The position frequently reviews the work of other Accountants.
The position requires maintenance of important key external relationships in order to function effectively.
The position requires independent judgment and experience to accomplish goals.
Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations.
Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.
Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned.
Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency.
Must comply with all Benefis Health system organization policies and procedures.
Education/License/Experience Requirements:
A combination of 4 years of finance/accounting education and 4 years of work experience.
Or 2 years of work experience and 6 years of finance or accounting education.
Masters Degree or CPA preferred
Workday Experience, Preferred
