Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or a minimum of 2-5 years of relative professional experience.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Strong analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills, high integrity, and detailed oriented.
Strong oral and written communications and human relation skills.
Ability to self-motivate and work effectively to manage multiple responsibilities and within strict time constraints.
Ability to function in an automated accounting environment with strong computer skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of the Accounting team.
Ability to follow policies and procedures and maintain client confidentiality.
Ability to communicate in a clear and service-oriented manner and use appropriate, professional language and grammar to effectively exchange ideas and information.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with strong Excel skills.
Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance.
Successful completion of the FINRA SIE and Series 99 Exams (must be passed within 120 days of hire).
Duties: Perform all responsibilities assigned related to the financial month-end close process.
Collect, analyze, and process data from various reports and sources to create journal entries for posting into the general ledger system.
Review and reconcile assigned accounts and post adjustments.
Analyze and evaluate financial data and prepare supporting schedules and reports for review by management.
Perform various accounting functions that lead to the production of department and firm level financial statements and reports.
Reconcile the bank accounts on a weekly or monthly basis.
Analyze and evaluate the entries and research and resolve questions or problems.
Assist with processing voided checks and addressing positive pay inquiries for the bank accounts.
Maintain the fixed asset database, enter additions and disposals of assets, and prepare monthly journal entries to record depreciation expense, asset additions and asset disposition in the general ledgers.
Reconcile balances per the fixed asset database records to the general ledger, monthly.
Prepare reports as needed and requested for management and tax reporting purposes.
Update the subledger system used for all leased assets, update workbooks for monthly rent and occupancy expenses, and prepare monthly lease journal entries.
Prepare and file personal property tax assessments with the appropriate taxing authorities on a timely basis and ensure accurate payment of personal property taxed when due.
Maintain workbooks for prepaid accounts and prepare journal entries to distribute the expense appropriately.
Maintain workbooks to track certain invoices and expense recognition.
Reconcile various balance sheet accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis.
Resolve any out of balances or outstanding items.
Maintain a workbook of recurring journal entries.
Upload daily journal entries for the entire Finance department.
Assist with audit documentation as requested.
Assist with process documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The salary range is $55,000 - $80,000, depending on experience, and bonus would be a 10% target.
