*Overview:* We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of maintenance operations within our large hotel and convention center.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to ensuring the upkeep and safety of our facilities.
*Responsibilities:* * *Team Leadership:* Manage a team of maintenance staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and accountability.
* *Facility Maintenance:* Oversee the maintenance and repair of all hotel and convention center facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, recreational facilities, and landscaping.
Ensure that all areas are well-maintained, safe, and in compliance with relevant regulations.
* *Preventive Maintenance:* Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to proactively address issues before they become problems.
Schedule regular inspections and maintenance tasks for HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, elevators, and other critical infrastructure.
* *Budget Management:* Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, including forecasting expenses, tracking spending, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Prioritize maintenance projects based on budget constraints and operational needs.
* *Vendor Management:* Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services, repairs, and equipment purchases.
Oversee work quality, and ensure that vendors comply with all safety and quality standards.
* *Emergency Response:* Develop and implement emergency response protocols to address maintenance issues, such as power outages, plumbing leaks, and equipment failures.
Ensure that staff are trained and equipped to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
* *Compliance and Safety:* Stay abreast of relevant regulations, codes, and industry best practices related to facility maintenance and safety.
Ensure that the hotel and convention center are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including fire safety, ADA accessibility, and environmental regulations.
* *Inventory Management:* Maintain accurate records of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
Monitor inventory levels, reorder supplies as needed, and implement efficient inventory management practices to minimize waste and ensure timely availability of materials.
*Qualifications:* * Minimum of 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
* Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general Handyman skills.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team of maintenance professionals.
* Proven ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and codes, such as OSHA, NFPA, and ADA.
* Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other software tools used for scheduling, budgeting, and inventory management.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $40,000.
