Over the past few years, our Security Department has grown, and we are seeking that team member ready to be ALL in for Security! FICO provides industry leading access control, video surveillance, and intercom systems.
We provide systems in many types of facilities, including educational, multi-tenant buildings, government/courthouses, retail, health care, and even some high-end home installations.
Full Job Description
What you will be doing:
You will be a security systems technician, ensuring projects and work orders are completed in a timely and professional manner.
The different installations will include low voltage cabling, access control, video surveillance, intercom, speakers and data cabling infrastructure.
Service work will include a variety of tasks, i.
e.
, cleaning cameras, updating software, troubleshooting complex systems, performing periodic maintenance and much more.
You will often interact with building owners/customers and must maintain professional relationships with them.
You may be required to attend training classes to develop, maintain, and enhance security systems expertise.
You will assist with job commissioning, programming, and start-up of security solutions.
You may assist with digital controls or service as directed by the Security Dept.
supervisor.
This position has potential growth to Lead Installer and Foreman for the Security Department.
To qualify, you ll need:
You will need to be able to work with other trades across the construction industry
Experience with troubleshooting and finding innovative ways to complete tasks
Ability to take direction from supervisor and work well with others
Read blue prints and wiring schematics
Shows pride in workmanship
Experience with security, low-voltage electrical, and digital controls systems ideal
Experience with conduit and wire molding installation ideal
Basic programming knowledge ideal
Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent
Basic mathematical and communication skills
Availability to work overtime, varied shift hours, and out of town as needed
Ability to pass federal background check
Current driver license and clean driving record
