FITTER OPERATOR/SERVICE

PRIMARY FUNCTION The Service Fitter/Operator performs a wide variety of tasks in the field relating to the installation, and maintenance of piping system along with serving the company’s natural gas customers.
Daily Responsibilities Follow direction of Crew Leader and Supervisor on installation and maintenance of natural gas distribution system Operate and maintain construction equipment Minor troubleshooting of gas facilities and equipment Meter and regulator installation and maintenance Read company meters Take cathodic protection reads Perform pipeline locating Operate leak detection equipment and perform surveys Maintain a working knowledge of company Operations and Maintenance Manuals and Construction Manuals Miscellaneous Maintain Operator Qualifications Be put into an on-call rotation Respond to Emergency situations Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Position is subject to DOT drug testing and background checks High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
The individual will be expected to have a valid motor vehicle license.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must live within 10 miles of Cut Bank upon hire.

Construction experience and operating equipment is desired Work on gas fired equipment and systems is desired WORKING CONDITIONS PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Duties involve heavy lifting and manual labor.
The individual must be available for emergency call-outs and be able to work extended hours.
Majority of the workday is spent outdoors; therefore this individual is exposed to (and must have tolerance for) extremes of heat, cold, noise, and dust.
Exposure to construction equipment and normal driving hazards is encountered regularly.

Employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment physical examination and completing DOT OQ courses.
