*Escrow Officer Job Description *
This position is designed to work with loan officers, lenders, real estate agents, attorneys, buyers and sellers to acquire, analyze, and organize all essential documents required to process a closing.
The ideal candidate has the capability of balancing the workload of the job and exceeding customer expectations.
* Manage the escrow process from opening to closing, including reviewing contracts and instructions, ordering title reports, and coordinating with lenders, buyers, sellers, and real estate agents.
* Obtains clear title by resolving title defects; satisfying existing liens and encumbrances against property or principals.
* Prepares transaction documents by completing forms and statements; collecting and reviewing existing documents.
* Completes closing transaction documents by assembling documents; reviewing papers with parties; explaining provisions and procedures; answering questions; checking documents for completeness and accuracy; obtaining signatures.
* Must be a Notary Public.
* Prepares CD by utilizing lender instructions.
* Balancing and funds to insure disbursing funds are correct
* Complies with regulatory requirements by adhering, and enforcing adherence, to requirements.
* Disburse loan proceeds upon approval from Lender.
* Prepares documents for recording and submits to Title Assistant with recording and policy instructions.
* Prepare escrow instructions, settlement statements, and other closing documents in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
* Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the transaction to provide updates, answer questions, and address any concerns.
* Conduct thorough research to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to title, liens, taxes, or other matters that may affect the transaction.
* Coordinate the disbursement of funds and the recording of documents to complete the transaction.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, including RESPA, TRID, and state-specific requirements.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation for each transaction, including escrow files, financial records, and correspondence.
* Provide exceptional customer service to clients by demonstrating professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail throughout the escrow process.
* Stay informed about changes in real estate laws, regulations, and industry trends that may impact escrow practices.
* Collaborate with other members of the escrow team, including escrow assistants and escrow closers, to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional service delivery.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43,407.
