Position Summary: Montana Arthritis Center (MAC) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care in a specialized clinic setting focused on arthritis treatment and management.
As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with arthritis and related conditions.
Key Responsibilities Patient Assessment and Care Delivery: · Conduct thorough patient assessments, including health history, vital signs, and physical examinations, to evaluate patients' arthritis symptoms and overall health status.
· Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized care plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
· Administer medications, injections, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
· Monitor patients' responses to treatment interventions and report any adverse reactions or changes in condition promptly.
· Telephone triage.
Patient Education and Support: · Educate patients and their families about arthritis, its underlying causes, treatment options, and self-management strategies to promote optimal health outcomes.
· Provide comprehensive instruction on medication administration, proper use of assistive devices, and techniques for managing pain and discomfort associated with arthritis.
· Offer emotional support and counseling to patients coping with the challenges of living with arthritis, fostering a compassionate and empathetic patient-provider relationship.
Clinical Documentation and Recordkeeping: · Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, progress notes, and diagnostic test results, in compliance with regulatory requirements and clinic policies.
· Document all nursing interventions, assessments, and patient interactions thoroughly and in a timely manner using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
· Review laboratory results and diagnostic reports, communicate findings to healthcare providers, and collaborate in the development of appropriate treatment plans.
These are commonly received via fax, phone call and patient portal.
These must be followed up daily.
· Respond promptly to patient inquiries, concerns, and requests for information, providing clear and accurate explanations and facilitating communication between patients and providers as needed.
Collaboration and Teamwork: · Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
· Maintain open and positive lines of communication.
· Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of care and promote patient safety.
· Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment by communicating openly, sharing knowledge and expertise, and demonstrating respect for colleagues and patients alike.
Assists co-workers as needed.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: · Adhere to established clinical practice guidelines, standards of nursing care, and regulatory requirements governing nursing practice, including HIPAA and infection control protocols.
· Participate in ongoing quality assurance activities, such as chart audits, performance improvement projects, and patient satisfaction surveys, to monitor and enhance the quality of care provided at the clinic.
· Maintain confidentiality of patient information and always uphold ethical standards of nursing practice.
Required Knowledge and Skills · Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a specialty clinic, ambulatory care, or rheumatology setting.
· Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to recognize changes in patients' conditions and intervene appropriately.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
· Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computerized documentation.
· Commitment to maintaining professional competence and pursuing continuing education opportunities relevant to arthritis care and nursing practice.

Education/Licensure/Technical Requirements.
· Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Montana.
· RN Degree, BSN Preferred.
· Current nursing license for applicable state.
· BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire.
· Ability to meet U.
