We design, implement, integrate, and test embedded software for the electronic control units in the BMW Group’s cars.
In an international working environment, you create the Safe Software Platform that enables driver assistance software for the future generation of our vehicles.
This Safe Software Platform includes the BSP, a Safe POSIX operating system, Adaptive AUTOSAR middleware, and SoC life cycle components.
What awaits you?
You are responsible for the overall software test status of an embedded safety platform software stack area.
You drive the test strategy and plans with the domain software teams - including external software suppliers and partners.
You define feature and component specific test concept and align these with the other safety platform test managers and overall ECU program activities.
You create test status visibility and reporting of your defined test levels and drive towards the achievement of the milestones you set.
You ensure test coverage and traceability from requirements elicitation, design, implementation, integration, and testing of a modern POSIX-based software platform.
You are a member of the software testing steering groups driving related process definitions and software test tooling.
What should you bring along?
University degree in Computer Science or a similar field of study.
At least 5 years of experience in software engineering and software test management in QNX- or Linux-based embedded systems.
Expertise in test management, requirement engineering and overarching traceability.
Experience in technically leading distributed software testing teams and various types of stakeholders.
Software test management certification – e.
g.
ISTQB Certified Tester (Foundation Level + Test Manager).
Experience with ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and Automotive SPICE would be an advantage.
