Position Description
This position supports the operating locations across Columbia Grain International.
Coordinates operations safety initiatives and projects focused on improved operational performance and supports CGI initiatives related to operating locations.
Participates in acquisition of new asset reviews and strategic divestitures related to CGI owned assets.
Management of planned asset enhancements and permitting and capital and emergency repair investments related to safety as assigned.
Has input into strategic investing for operations.
Provides support services related to safety and operations as assigned.
Responsible for implementation and reporting of safety performance metrics for the organization.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Support CGI location operation managers with operations, safety training, mentoring, and enforcement.
Responsible for management of assigned safety, capital and repair projects.
Supports location managers and BEM’s with technical support to address safety operational issues that may arise.
Assist in the coordination of the Compliance Enforcement inspections related to reported injuries or OSHA emphasis programs.
Establish a relationship and earn respect from the regulatory agencies where CGI conducts business.
May be responsible as company representative for outreach and Ag industry networking to develop a leadership for CGI and the Ag industry related to compliance and education.
May be responsible as company representative / leader during serious injury or fatality.
Will be assigned special assignments related to CGI location preparedness and development of peers and junior CGI location operations leaders.

Education/Experience
Demonstrate through past positions and responsibilities experience in the specific job tasks outlined above.
(10 years of experience in Ag preferred)
High School required
College Degree preferred
Advanced Degree optional
