Job Description:
This position manages the veterinary product side of Bear Paw Veterinary Service.
This position is part of a team of people working at this veterinary service.
Training and mentoring are valued, important to facilitate confidence and control of the post.
Bear Paw Inventory management exists to ensure an adequately stocked and relevant pharmacy to ensure the health and well-being of Havre and the surrounding area’s companion, equine and livestock animals.

*Technical aspect: *
* Using the medical data base platform, Excel documents, word documents, Global Vet
Link documents.
* Product orders
* Receives and records products
* Returns inappropriate orders
* Fills client orders and prescriptions
* Monitor inventory quantity and re-order points
* Monitor expiration dates
* Monitor the sale of products via the Day Sheet
* Performs physical inventory tally bi-annually
* Educate clients on the proper use of products
*Management aspect: *
* Meet weekly with the Office Manager (OM)
* Meet monthly with the OM & Owner
* Communicate with Vendors and Sales Representatives
* Promote new and seasonal products to our staff and clients
* Manage BPVS on-line pharmacy
* Inform team members of new products, back orders, and discontinued products
This position involves consistent hours and a predictable schedule, making it suitable for someone with a family.
The person who would fit this position must pay attention to detail, be organized, work easily with computers, have good communication skills, enjoy helping people, have the ability to work with clients and the rest of the team.
Many of the job duties require the ability to work independently.
The business would prefer the applicant to have inventory management experience as well as experience working with producers.
However, the business is willing to train the right applicant.
Compensation:
* Dependent on education and skills.
Not less than $14/hr.
with potential to earn more.
