Description: Must be on time and ready to perform their job in a safe and timely fashion.
Warehouse Technician/Customer Service Agent will be a primary provider of general customer service and support from an informational and problem resolution perspective.
Position includes maintaining inventory control of products and accessories, placing and receiving inventory orders, unloading deliveries, full responsibility for the management and upkeep of warehouse and equipment, assembly of garage door springs to specification, assisting customers by phone and in-person with replacement parts, accessories, information, price quotes and measurements for new garage doors and operators.
Will also assist with answering phones, receiving and processing work orders and billing, coordinating projects and interacting with office staff, technicians, suppliers and customers.
Requirements:
* Basic knowledge of personal computer and associated software tools
* Ability to operate multi-line telephone system
* Basic understanding of scheduling, delegation and problem resolution
* Ability to communicate with customers, coworkers and vendors professionally and respectfully
* Ability to work with others in a positive and productive manner
* Ability to be self-directed and self-motivated
* Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
* Ability to pass a background check
Education/Training:
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Construction or mechanical experience
Physical Demands: The work requires physical exertion including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods of time.
Applicants must have the ability to perform the following:
* Lift up to 80 pounds over the shoulder and carry for a distance of up to 50 feet
* Work in extreme heat, cold and adverse weather conditions
