We design, implement, integrate, and test embedded software for the electronic control units of BMW Group cars.
In an international working environment, you create the Safe Software Platform that enables driver assistance software for the future generation of our vehicles.
This Safe Software Platform includes the BSP, a Safe POSIX operating system, Adaptive AUTOSAR middleware, and SoC life cycle components.
What awaits you?
You own, configure and integrate BSP/Safe POSIX operating system features like startup/shutdown, secure boot, partitioning, libraries etc.
You sketch the concepts, evaluate solutions, and finally implement and test the software on both simulators and target hardware.
You work closely with software architects, software developers, project managers, and software testers to identify the requirements and specifications for the Software Platform and to determine how best to integrate its different components.
You are responsible for the requirements elicitation, design, implementation, integration, and testing of BSP and Safe POSIX software components.
You cover all phases from hardware bring-up to series production of the Software Platform.
You coordinate with project partners to resolve integration conflicts.
What you should bring along?
University degree in Computer Sciences or a related subject.
At least 5 years of experience in embedded software engineering in Linux or QNX based embedded systems.
Knowledge in one or more of the following fields: system design, network technologies and configuration, real time systems, functional safety.
Strong expertise in software integration techniques and CI (e.
g.
build & automation tools like Bazel and Python).
Expertise in Adaptive AUTOSAR or a similar middleware is an advantage.
Business-fluent English, good German is a plus.
