Discovery Family Counseling Services, LLC (now a designated NHSC student loan repayment site) is expanding and looking for a child therapist to join our team.
This position is full-time, regular employment position (guaranteed hours, regardless of client attendance).
A subcontractor agreement could be an option, which would have a different pay structure based on percentage of income.
Part-time may be negotiable.
This is a unique and exciting job opportunity with play therapy training.
We have been awarded grant funding to help with an expansion to hire and train two additional therapists in play therapy techniques.
It is no secret that there is a significant shortage of play therapists in our community, presumably due to high cost and time demand of training.
This will allow those interested in learning the skills to complete training and start working at our office.
Play therapy training will be provided by 1) sending you to training(s) likely out-of-state and 2) clinical supervision by Willow Rossmiller, LCPC, LMFT, RPT-S (Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor).
Although the training is funded by a grant, the position is full-time and permanent (not depending on grant ongoing).
As a small office with 3-4 other therapists and a part-time administrative assistant, you get the private practice feel with the security of a steady paycheck and colleagues to staff cases with as needed.
Discovery Family Counseling Services, LLC has been operating successfully as a group practice since 2013.
We offer flexibility, reasonable productivity expectations, a steady paycheck, and a positive work environment.
The schedule is flexible and is ideal for balancing work with other responsibilities.
We are also a NHSC site, which makes full-time licensed (LCPC, LCSW, etc) therapists eligible to apply for the NHSC Student Loan Repayment Program.
This program allows employees to apply for student loan forgiveness of up to $50,000.
