_JOB OVERVIEW_
Under the GPVSC Executive Director's direction, the *Veterans Support Services Manager* oversees the Veterans Support Services (VSS) program, ensuring its alignment with the mission of the GPVSC and adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
This position involves supervising staff, managing case management services, and representing the VSS program in the community.
The position may be located in Box Elder, Ft.
Belknap or Browning and may be a hybrid combination of in-person and virtual, remote work.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
* Supervise staff, establish schedules, and review timesheets.
* Provide program leadership, staff training, and performance evaluations.
* Ensure accurate documentation of program activities and client interactions.
* Conduct programmatic and administrative case reviews for quality assurance.
* Establish outcome monitoring systems for continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with GPVSC administration to develop program policies and goals.
* Advocate for Veterans’ access to VA programs and services.
* Conduct home visits and organize educational workshops for Veterans and families.
_KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES_
* Ability to direct remote staff.
* Maintain professionalism in challenging situations with empathetic listening skills.
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with Veterans and community partners.
* Adhere to required administrative policies and procedures.
* Proficiency in coordinating services and providing technical assistance.
* Familiarity with VA processes and local resources related to job services.
_MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS_
* Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field (master’s in social work preferred); or
* Five years of experience in social services case management or other directly related area, or
* Must hold a Montana driver's license with no restriction or obtain one within 60-90 days.
_PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORKING CONDITIONS_
* Must be able to work on a computer for up to 8 hours per day.
* Frequent interactions with clients, community members and GPVSC staff.
* Day travel required to reach Veterans.
