GENERAL INFORMATION*
A.
TITLE: *Parish Administrator*
B.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: *To integrate and coordinate the*
*temporal administration of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish (HSCP) including personnel management, financial affairs, and facilities oversight.
*
C.
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: *Pastor*
*II.
QUALIFICATIONS:*
*Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing according to the Magisterial teaching.
*
*Degree in business administration, finance, or closely related areas or equivalent *
*administrative/management experience *
*Commitment to the ministry, vision, and values of HSCP*
*Leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills*
*III.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
*A.
Personnel: *To assist the Pastor and Councils in the hiring process, orientation
and evaluation of parish professional and support staff, to administer
personnel policies, and to provide for staff development:
· organizes, oversees, and evaluates the work of the parish office and support staff and coordinates communication between staff, Pastor and councils as needed
· administers parish staff payroll and employee benefit programs
· maintains personnel files, implements personnel policies, and prepares job descriptions with the Pastor and Councils for all parish positions
*B.
Facilities and Equipment: *To manage the general operation and upkeep of all
parish properties, facilities, and equipment:
· Coordinates scheduling, maintenance, and supervision of all parish facilities
· Develops short-term and long-term maintenance procedures for all facilities, grounds, and equipment with the maintenance staff, school administration and Building Committee
· Supervises insurance program for parish facilities and activities and negotiates contracts for services and maintenance of equipment
· Enables and convenes the Finance Committee and Staff meetings, and is an Ad Hoc member of the Pastoral and Development/Stewardship Councils and Building Committee
· Coordinates with the councils and committees the planning of new facilities, new building developments and the disposal of old facilities and property in accord with diocesan policies
· Develop and administer parish temporal processes and procedures for the columbarium, the heating and cooling system, parish online giving, and others as required.
· Works with the Coordinator of Worship to maintain video, audio, and hearing systems in the facility
· Plan, coordinate maintain office computer systems
*C.
Finances: *To provide the Pastor and Councils with financial reports and evaluations, to
manage the parish budget, and to implement annual and long-range financial planning
for the parish:
· Develops and implements parish financial accounting system for the Finance Council
· Supervises accounting processes for regular parish offering program.
· Implements and coordinates with Pastor and Councils all fund-raising efforts, capital campaigns, and special appeals
· Manages parish purchasing procedures
· Helps prepare annual and monthly financial reports w/parish accountant as requested by the Pastor, Councils, School, and Diocese
· Serves on other committees as requested
*D.
Stewardship/Development: *To coordinate the parish Stewardship & Development process:
· At the pastor’s direction is the convener of the Stewardship/Development Committee and is its liaison to the parish staff
· Collaborates with the pastor in the stewardship process of the parish
· Implements long-term planning processes for development of planned giving
*E.
Parish Office and Communication: *To manage and coordinate the parish office
and facilitate communication within the parish as required
*F.
Other duties as assigned by the Pastor.

WORKING CONDITIONS:*
Full Time Exempt
Flexible work week, available evenings, and weekends, as work requires.
Office space for working, meeting, and storing materials at the Holy Spirit.
Travel between a variety of businesses, churches, and the Diocese to complete duties
