We're looking for a dynamic and motivated Junior Accountant to join our team.
Position overview:
This job brief highlights the role of a Junior Accountant within the financial department in Cyprus or Malta.
It involves managing daily accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.
Responsibilities:
Post and process journal entries to ensure accurate recording of business transactions.
Update and manage accounts receivable by issuing invoices and perform reconciliations for accounts payable.
Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company guidelines.
Support in reviewing expenses, payroll records, and other financial documents as assigned.
Update financial data in databases to ensure accuracy and immediate availability when needed.
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports to facilitate decision-making.
Aid senior accountants in monthly/yearly closings and participate in other accounting projects.
Requirements and Skills:
1-3 years of experience working as a junior accountant.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, ACCA, finance, or a relevant field (or in the process)
Excellent organisational abilities to manage various accounting tasks efficiently.
Fluency in English,
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records.
Proficiency in working with numbers and figures, coupled with analytical acumen.
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Google.
Familiarity with relevant accounting software Xero will be advantageous.
