Staff Accountant Full-Time/Non-Exempt Great Falls Position Overview: Collects cost information and maintains company budgets.
Manage Fixed Assets and Fleet information.
Job Duties: Responsible for analyzing and preparing budget reports.
Maintains project and grant expense databases with MRWH’s ERP.
Reviews standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
Analyzes and reports contribution margins.
Coordinates the preparation of cost forecasts.
Back up to Payroll and Accounts Payable.
Assists in month-end and year-end closing.
Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred OR Associates degree in Accounting with two (2) or more years of work experience as a cost accountant, analyst, or other relevant role is required.
Experience auditing or managing programs and allocable costs according to Federal allowable cost principles.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
Familiarity with accounting software programs.
Computer literacy skills, especially with MS Excel and intermediate data entry and computation.
Analytical skills with a sense of organization and detail.
Proven time management skills and ability to work under firm deadlines.
Respect for confidentiality of information laws and local ethics.
Experience in activity-based costing for fixed and variable costs in relation to the overall direct cost of a line of products.
