*Responsibilities:*
* Oversee the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance
* Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliation
* Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and strategic planning
* Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations
* Collaborate with other departments to develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
* Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
* Build, maintain, and continuously improve the human resources system by establishing policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems and training staff on them
* Handle all aspects of employee insurance and benefits, including monitoring changes in regulations and creating budgets for benefits and worker's compensation
* Oversee IT contractors and resources
* Oversee facility management activities
*Skills:*
* Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices, especially cost accounting
* Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software systems
* Experience with balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and financial forecasting
* Knowledge of technical accounting standards and ability to apply them in practice
* Familiarity with governmental accounting regulations is a plus
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
