Christmas Kettle Coordinator
Pay: $18.

Position Summary The Christmas Kettle Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the day to day operations of the Christmas Kettle Fundraising Program.
This will include but is not limited to: scheduling and supervision of staff and volunteers as well as the placement and collection of red kettles.
Essential Functions Ensure all equipment (signs, stands, kettles, bells, aprons) are clean and in good working order.
Ensure kettle signs and stands are delivered and stored according to store manager instructions prior to the first day of kettles.
Work with Corps Officer to hire and train paid Bell Ringers.
Develop and distribute weekly Bell Ringer/Driver schedule, coordinating with Corps Officer to incorporate volunteers.
Preform “spot checks” on staff and volunteers throughout the day to ensure The Salvation Army is being represented appropriately.
Collect and verify daily time slips for all paid staff to ensure accuracy prior to submitting to Corps Officer for processing.
Troubleshoot issues that may hinder successful daily kettle operations.
Monitor Bell Ringer / site productivity and work with Corps Officer to make adjustments as necessary.
Be familiar with and ensure seasonal staff and volunteers maintain Protecting the Mission compliance.
Adherence to employee dress codes while working.
Other seasonal duties as assigned by Corps Officers.
Working Conditions Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, run, jump, and twist on an intermittent and sometimes continuous basis.
Maintain the ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, reach overhead, and carry office supplies.
Maintain the ability to operate a computer, telephone, and similar technologies.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
A qualified person with a disability may request a modification or adjustment to the job or work environment in order meet the physical requirements of the position.
The Salvation Army will attempt to satisfy requests as long as the accommodation needed is reasonable and no undue hardship would result.
Minimum Qualifications Must be a High School graduate or equivalent.
Some post-secondary education preferred.
A minimum of 6 months of related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
Must submit to and pass a background check.
Must complete Protecting the Mission – child safety training.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be a minimum of 21 years old.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Must possess the ability to work as part of a dynamic, high performing team and maintain confidentiality.
Must have the ability to relate positively to people from diverse backgrounds and communicate well with the general public.
Willingness to accept and support the mission of The Salvation Army.
Be flexible and open to new ideas, concepts, and ways of doing things while keeping pace with multiple priorities.
Possess the ability to work well independently and in a detailed, professional and courteous manner.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Posses general accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
Ability to use basic office machines/equipment.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Word & Excel.
Able to pass a motor vehicle check as well as complete The Salvation Army driving test.
