*JOB SUMMARY*
The Catholic Religious Education Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Religious Education Program to meet the spiritual and educational needs of the Catholic community.
This position requires a dedicated individual with a passion for faith-based education and community building.
*MAIN OBJECTIVES*
* Plan, coordinate, and oversee the Catholic Religious Education programs, including sacramental preparation and adult faith formation.
* Recruit, train, and support volunteer catechists and assistants.
* Ensure compliance with diocesan and military guidelines for religious education.
* Collaborate with military chaplains and the religious community to enhance program effectiveness.
*SCHEDULE OF WORK*
* This position is part-time, with expected work hours of 20 hours per week.
Some flexibility in scheduling is required to accommodate evening and weekend programs.
*PLACE OF PERFORMANCE*
* Work will be primarily performed on-site at the military installation's chapel and religious education facilities.
*PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE*
* The contract is expected to last for 12 months, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding availability.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
* Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
* Experience in religious education or faith formation, preferably within a military environment.
* Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and with a team.
* Must pass a background check and comply with all federal and military regulations.
