The University of Providence is continuously seeking dynamic and qualified individuals to join our faculty as Adjunct Instructors in Liberal Arts.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Course Instruction: Deliver engaging and effective instruction in liberal arts courses, encompassing various disciplines such as literature, philosophy, history, and social sciences, following the established curriculum and learning objectives.
Facilitate Learning: Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student engagement and success, encouraging critical thinking, analysis, and communication skills.
Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate student performance through assessments, assignments, and examinations, providing timely and constructive feedback to promote learning outcomes and intellectual growth.
Course Development: Assist in the development and enhancement of course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional resources, in collaboration with departmental colleagues.
Communication: Maintain regular communication with students, faculty, and staff regarding course expectations, schedules, and academic matters, fostering open dialogue and collaboration.
Professional Development: Stay abreast of advancements in liberal arts education, participate in faculty development opportunities, and engage in continuous improvement of teaching practices and pedagogical approaches.
Adherence to Policies: Adhere to university policies and procedures, including academic integrity standards, confidentiality guidelines, and compliance with accreditation requirements.
Student Support: Provide academic support and guidance to students, including advising on course selection, academic goals, and career pathways within the liberal arts disciplines.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
A minimum of a master's degree in a liberal arts discipline or related field from an accredited institution.
EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrated expertise and proficiency in liberal arts subjects, with a broad understanding of interdisciplinary approaches and methodologies.
Prior teaching or instructional experience, preferably in higher education settings, with a commitment to student-centered learning and intellectual inquiry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds in meaningful discourse and critical inquiry.
